Meet Our Director
Mrs. Deborah Eddie has served for over 25 years in various forms of childcare. As the wife of a now retired US Coast Guardsman, she has had the opportunity to be a part of many daycares, youth centers, and churches. She has worked in all aspects of childcare including teacher for all preschool age groups, core teacher for infant room, summer camp lead counselor, as well as administration. Over the years, Deborah has served in various church positions such as AWANA commander, GA director, preschool choir teacher, VBS director, children’s committee member and many others. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Child/Adolescent Psychology from Louisiana College. Recently she has received certification as an instructor for Adult/Pediatric CPR, First Aid, and AED. Deborah also homeschooled her 2 children through Bob Jones University. Her children are now college graduates and have found success in their chosen fields, her daughter in Birmingham, AL and her son in Houston, TX. Deborah resides in Mobile with her husband David. She is very excited to serve in this ministry and be a part of what God has in store for the Child Development Center and Summer Camp program at Government Street Baptist Church.
